A host of Scottish indie stars are teaming together for a children’s charity album.
Franz Ferdinand, Belle and Sebastian, Snow Patrol and Primal Scream are contributing songs to the collection, with all proceeds going to local children’s charities.
Belle and Sebastian trumpeter Mick Cooke came up with the idea after he was personally asked to write songs for a charity album. He then decided to approach fellow Scottish indie bands.
Other acts contributing to the project are Teenage Fanclub and Kathryn Williams.
As The Times reports, Franz Ferdinand are donating new track 'Jackie Jackson', while Snow Patrol are covering a track by Kim Wilde’s brother.
