50 Cent has defended his film ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ saying that it condones gun crime and violence.
The flick has received a lot of criticism for its apparent violent themes and the advertising poster which featured Fiddy holding two guns.
But speaking to BBC six o’clock news, the rapper said: “No way was it in my head to capture a film that glorifies violence."
He maintained that the Gulf War film ‘Jarhead’ was much is a "far more violent than the 50 Cent experience".
Moving on to the ad campaign which caused outrage in the US, with many billboards being taken down, he commented: “Creatively I haven't done anything that wasn't acceptable," the rapper said.
"Eighteen films that came out before mine utilised weapons on their artwork. But when mine comes out they start protesting.
"If it glamorises it when I do it, then it's glamorised period. So we should protest every time,"
‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ gets its nationwide UK release on Friday (January 20).
