A signed Rolling Stones guitar has been stolen from the offices of a charity in Australia.
The Challenge Children’s Cancer Support Network’s office in Melbourne was broken in to at 1am on Sunday morning.
The only item thieves got away with was the guitar which was recently sold for $17,000 Australian dollars at an auction.
Charity boss Dave Rogers told undercover: “We got it from a friend of ours who works with getting memorabilia from the Stones in the USA.
“We had recently acquired it off (the “friend”), the gentleman who bought it has been away on holidays and is still away on holidays. We haven’t been able to contact him, but we have left messages for him.”
“A refund is something that we will discuss with him, obviously we don’t want to make him feel uncomfortable.”
