Former Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley is recovering in hospital after having his appendix removed, according to a statement by his manager.
Hadley was admitted to Whittington Hospital in north London after complaining of stomach cramps last night, undergoing surgery later in the evening, John Glover said.
"He will be in hospital for a couple of days and he will have to cancel a series of shows in Holland," he said.
It has not yet been decided whether he will be well enough to go on a charity trek to Venezuela, which would involve climbing Mount Roraima, on 30 January, Mr Glover added.
