My Morning Jacket Cancel January UK Tour

My Morning Jacket - 'Z'My Morning Jacket have been forced to cancel their January UK tour because Jim James has been sidelined “health complications related to pneumonia”.

The band were due to play six dates starting in Birmingham on January 8, a statement from their management reads: “Jim James of My Morning Jacket will be sidelined for a while due to health complications related to pneumonia.”

“My Morning Jacket will unfortunately have to cancel an upcoming show on New Years Eve as well as their European tour that was to begin on January 18th, 2006. The band would like to extend their sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

“My Morning Jacket hope to reschedule the European dates as soon as Jim is fully recovered and able to perform. We thank you for your understanding."

My Morning Jacket were due to play the following dates in the UK:

Birmingham Academy - January 18
Bristol University - 19
Manchester Academy - 20
Glasgow Oran Mor - 21
Nottingham Rescue Rooms - 23
Brighton Concorde - 24
