Peter Gabriel has admitted that a Genesis reunion could well be on the cards saying “the odds are better than ever before.”
As we told you earlier this week, Phil Collins said that he was “open” to talks about the band getting back together, and now Gabriel has reciprocated those views.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Gabriel said: "The odds of a reunion are better now than before. We're going to have the conversation."
Pushed as to whether he thinks it will definitely happen, Gabriel joked “"I wouldn't put money on it . . . yet."
If they do reform, it will be the first time the (once) seminal band have performed together since a one-off show in 1982.
With Gabriel on vocals the reunion would mark a return to the band’s glory days. Many Genesis purists feel the band went downhill once Collins took over vocal duties.
Guitarist Steve Hackett first sparked talks of a reunion when he told the Chicago Sun-Times last month: "There's a movement to put us all together again. I do think it will happen."
