By Jason Gregory on 8 February 2010
Michael Jackson’s doctor has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter over the singer’s death.
Dr Conrad Murray entered his plea during a short court hearing in Los Angeles earlier today (February 8).
A judge must now decide if the case is to go to trial. If found guilty, Dr Murray faces up to four years in prison.
He has been bailed for $75,000 - a quarter of the sum prosecutors originally requested.
Jackson died in Los Angeles on June 25, aged 50. An autopsy ruled his death as homicide "due to lethal levels of propofol".
Dr Murray told police he had been administering the drug to help the singer sleep, according to an affidavit.

Glastonbury Festival Revellers Vote In Favour Of Keeping Flags Over 13,000 have their say...
By Scott Colothan on 8 February 2010
Visitors to the official Glastonbury Festival website have voted in favour of “keeping” flags at the Worthy Farm event.
Over 13,000 people cast their opinion on the contentious subject over the past week with 55% (7269 votes) voting to keep the flags compared to the 45% (5909 votes) for banning them.
Despite the result, the poll was only an 'opinion gauger' and was held in the wake of Download Festival banning flags from the main arena of their 2010 site.
Glastonbury said today: “So, it's a narrow win for "keeping". Big thanks to everyone for taking part. As well as the result itself, it's been really useful to get an idea of the passion this debate raises among festival-goers, by reading your comments across the web.”
