    Think About Life triggered a stage invasion as they closed the opening day of M for Montreal in Canada last night (November 19).

    The local four-piece impressed a capacity crowd at Cabaret/Studio Juste with tracks from their second album ‘Family’.

    Singer Martin Cesar was on energetic form throughout the 30-minute set, bounding across the stage with nonstop enthusiasm. 

    And at one point the frontman even disappeared from view to grab a bag full of balloons, which he then hurled into the audience.

    Gibson Guitars is under investigation in the US for allegedly using illegal wood to make their instruments.

    Federal agents stormed Gibson's headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee on suspicion of the company using threatened Madagascan rosewood smuggled in via Germany.

    The search took place under the Lacey Act which seeks to hinder trafficking of illegal wildlife, plants and fish.

    The US Fish and Wildlife Service seized a variety of items including wood, computers, files and guitars from Gibson HQ.

    Undercover.com.au has today published a string of global tour dates leaked to them by a 'source' close to the band.

    The French dance titans are rumoured to be playing the City of Manchester Stadium and London's Wembley Arena in September following shows in Holland, Germany, Ireland, France, America and Australia.

    In the latest edition of Metal Hammer magazine, the famous anti-religious rockers cast their critical eye over the religious record.

    Status Quo have been confirmed as the first headliners of GuilFest 2010.

    The rock veterans, who have sold 118million records since they first hit the charts in 1967, will close the Surrey festival on Sunday July 18th.

    1,000 early bird tickets are on sale for the event until Christmas Eve via the official GuilFest website.

    Guilfest takes place from July 16-18, 2010 at Stoke Park in Guildford. This year's event was headlined by Brian Wilson, The Levellers and Blondie.

    The Beatles' Ringo Starr and Sir Paul McCartney have joined forces on the drummer's new album 'Y Not'.

    Macca sings vocals on two of the album's tracks – 'Peace Dream' and 'Walk With Me' – and Ringo reckons the songs are all the better for it.

    Ringo enthused: "Paul was doing the Grammys, so he came over to the house and was playing bass on 'Peace Dream'.

    "I played him this other track and Paul said, 'Give me the headphones. Give me a pair of cans'. And he went to the mic and he just invented that part where he follows on my vocal. That was all Paul McCartney, and there could be nothing better."

    Interpol are hoping to release their fourth studio album early next year, drummer Sam Fogarino has revealed.

    The sticks man explained that the band weren't entirely happy with their last record 'Our Love To Admire' so this new album will hark back to their 2002 debut 'Turn On The Bright Lights'.

    Speaking to Paste Magazine, Fogarino said: “('Our Love To Admire') was not our most cohesive moment… It was when reality kicked in as to where we were and where we were never going back to.”

    He continued: “The new record falls back towards the first. In trying to move forward, there was an unspoken realization that you can’t let go of your sonic-defining tag.
