  • Jedward 'Are More Popular Than The Beatles' According to an online poll... By Scott Colothan on 17 November 2009 Jedward 'Are More Popular Than The Beatles'

An online poll by bookmakers Paddy Power has shown that The X Factor's John and Edward are more popular than The Beatles.

The poll on the bookies' homepage simply asked 'Who is the greatest boyband ever?' and the god-awful Irish twins - known as Jedward - gained 45% of the vote compared to meagre 33% for The Fab Four.

Over 1,300 people had their say in the poll which also featured Take That in third place with 14% of the vote.

Paddy Power said "We're genuinely gob-smacked with this result and would have presumed that the Fab Four would have easily topped this poll but once again Jedward have exceeded expectations and caused yet another upset."

To prove Paddy Power wrong, register your vote for The Beatles in Gigwise's poll below.
